Tonight at CB South, a little tribute to Big Barda:

"The Warrior" by Scandal.

Something by Lainie Kazan might have been appropriate, since she was reportedly the inspiration for Barda. But, uh, I can't think of a single LK song...

How about "Bernadeth" to the Four Tops' "Bernadette"?

Coincidentally, one of the other regulars that night sang Janis Joplin's "Piece of My Heart"...which, considering the killer's m.o., was grimly appropriate.

Wow, knowing that I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO THINKS OF BARDA WHEN THEY HEAR THAT TACKY SCANDAL SONG really perks up my crappy-feeling self. ;)

chris k - Lainie was the inspiration for Barda's APPEARANCE, but her character was a tribute to Roz Kirby, the King's own beloved wife.

Yeah, they left a character based on Jack Kirby's true love and life partner lying dead on the kitchen floor. Cry now, if you must.
