It's a John Cleese reference.

Things We Said Today

Someday when we're dreaming, deep in love, not a lot to say, then we will remember things we said today.

Well, hopefully, I'll always be dreaming...I'm not deep in love at the moment, but am ever-hopeful that that might change...and I generally don't have a lot to say (or at least, don't often have the time to write what I DO have to say). However, on the Internet, the things we say today can always be remembered (unless they're deleted).

I don't know how often I'll be posting, or whether I'll have much of interest to write about, but hopefully I'll occasionally be able to provide some entertaining commentary.

By the way...ten points to anybody who can identify the source of this blog's title. I have no idea what those ten points are good for, but hey, how can you pass up ten points?

The blog title is taken from the incredibly obscure TV special "To Norway, Home of Giants", narrated by John Cleese. At one point, Cleese showcases a few Norwegian delicacies, including tørrfisk, which he describes as "a delicately fish-flavored baseball bat".
